On the other hand, a well made pair of glasses can last a long time and feel comfortable all day. I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shop** blindly. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. The same is true for metal versus acetate frames for glasses. I also pay attention to return policy and customer service response time.

That is why I sometimes leave comments myself when I test a new shop or product. Now I try to read as many real user reviews as possible before I buy anything. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. A good store usually answers questions quickly and does not hide behind canned messages. Over the last months I noticed that some of my favorite items are not the most expensive ones.
